Classroom Management Ideas
My biggest area of concern is creative classroom management. I am wondering if anyone has creative ideas to better use classroom management and most importantly to better facilitate learning? I want a classroom that creates creative thinkers and a lifelong desire to learn, any great ideas?

ReplyDeleteI usually manage my classroom by proximity. It tends to work, but then again I can't stand a quiet room and don't think an art room should be quiet. Especially since growth in the arts is as much about the community experience of the art. We grow as artists from creating and critiquing, always building off of the feed back of others.
A creative classroom management technique that would facilitate learning would be to set high expectations for each student in their favorite or least favorite subject area. Setting long term and short term goals will help students who are interested or not interested in a subject to excel or find some sort of enjoyment in a subject they may not typically enjoy. allowing students to set up their own objectives in order to reach their goals.
